Scribble #5!
This week’s scribble! I did this one analog with an old zebra brush pen, then did my drawings for it digitally in Procreate, using some of my phenomenal True Grit Texture Supply brushes! (Highly recommend for anyone who’s sick of trying to make the hard airbrush and procreate pencil look good)
First up - this old lady! She was the first thing I saw, which in hindsight seems odd to me because of how imperfectly it fit. Most of the other’s fit much more satisfyingly, but I suppose sometimes the brain just sees what it sees!
This one’s probably my favorite of the bunch. It’s just so cute!
Random dancing (or maybe sprinting) turtle! I don’t know, man.
I’ve been calling this guy “the wizard” in my head, but as I write this it’s occurring to me that there’s nothing even wizardly about him, he just has a cloak and a beard. Apparently I think any cloak-wearin’ dude with long white facial hair has magical powers!
This one is almost just an upside down version of the dog, tbh.
And now our last drawing for this scribble: The Discus Dude! Could also be a frisbee, but as I was drawing it I was thinking “discus.” Also, no one holds a frisbee like that.
And there we have it! Week 5 of The Scribble Game! I hope you’ve enjoyed this semi-confusing glimpse into how I look at a line. Thank you for reading, and see you next week!
